Bengaluru, March 14. Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Etihad Airways flight EY-262 coming from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru landed safely at Kempegowda International Airport today. Indian nationals arriving in Bengaluru from Abu Dhabi reported that the situation in the UAE is relatively stable compared to Kuwait and Bahrain, although they also expressed apprehension about the potential impact on Indian workers if the conflict continues. The increasing tension between Iran and America-Israel has created uneasiness among Indians living in the region. A passenger refuted reports circulating in Indian media and social media platforms that claimed attacks on major sites in Dubai.

The passenger said, “The news being shown in the Indian media that Burj Khalifa has been attacked, some walls have been damaged, all these are false news. Don’t believe all these things. Whenever there is an attack, something or the other happens, debris etc. falls, smoke comes out of it and this is happening. That is why only a few people have suffered minor injuries, everything else is normal. Business is going on normally and offices are normal. Every Everything in the place is common.”

Another passenger advised not to trust fake news on social media and stressed the need to trust government information. He said, “There is no need to panic. Everything is under control. I think one should follow reliable websites and credible news instead of fake news on social media. Pay attention to the information released by the government. Especially the information from Dubai and Abu Dhabi government. They are giving daily information. There is no need to panic. Everything is going on normally.”

Tindu, a traveler from Abu Dhabi, said, “There are a lot of problems in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but the government is also supporting. We are working in the health department and everything is going smoothly. Personally, the situation is fine right now. We are living in Los Angeles. Don’t know the current situation in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, but we are coming from Abu Dhabi. Everything was going well at that time.”
