Use of word Gavisthi in Rigveda

The word Gavisthi is used in Rigveda. Which tells the importance of cows. In the early Vedic period, animal husbandry was the major economic activity. At that time, a person's prosperity was measured on the basis of the number of cows. This is the reason that at that time, when cows were lost or taken away by someone, a war was fought to get them back.
