The Office of the Director of Basic Education, Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow), has issued a notification for the recruitment of Special Educators. This recruitment drive has been initiated in compliance with directives issued by the Supreme Court. Under this campaign, a total of 58 Special Teachers will be appointed.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must possess a qualification in Special Education that is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Additionally, applicants must have qualified for either the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or a state-level Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). It is also mandatory for candidates to hold a valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number issued by the RCI. Furthermore, applicants must currently be employed as Special Educators—on a contractual or daily-wage basis—under a District Basic Education Officer in any district of Uttar Pradesh.

Selection Process
The recruitment process will begin with a preliminary scrutiny of the application forms submitted by the candidates. This will be followed by the verification of their educational and professional credentials. Candidates deemed eligible will be invited to participate in a screening process. Upon the completion of all these stages, a final list of eligible candidates will be prepared. The Department has also explicitly clarified that the information provided in the application form must be entirely accurate. If any discrepancies or false information are detected, the candidate's candidature may be summarily cancelled, and legal action may also be initiated against them.
