Pakistan’s fashion scene is evolving once again as Eid 2026 approaches, with designers and brands introducing a fresh twist on traditional attire. Last year, the Farshi Shalwar paired with short shirts dominated the trend charts, making waves not only in Pakistan but also in India, where influencers and celebrities embraced the style.

This year, however, the spotlight has shifted to Farshi Shirts — floor-length shirts that extend all the way to the feet. Designers have modernized the classic long shirt, combining it with culottes, palazzos, and traditional shalwars, giving it a contemporary yet elegant flair.

Fashion designer Kiran Afzal confirmed in an interview that Farshi Shirts are the must-have look this Eid. “Last year, Farshi Shalwar was in. This year, everyone is demanding full-length shirts that flow beautifully, paired with comfortable bottoms. Designers are busy creating a variety of Farshi Shirt ensembles for this festive season,” she said.

Celebrities and models are already embracing the trend. Ayeza Khan, Maya Ali, Ushna Shah, and Kiran Malik have been spotted flaunting elegant Farshi Shirts, inspiring fans across social media to follow suit.

The Farshi Shirt trend offers a fusion of comfort, tradition, and modern aesthetics, making it ideal for festive celebrations like Eid. The long, flowing silhouettes are designed to make a statement while retaining the grace and modesty associated with traditional Pakistani fashion.

With Eid just around the corner, fashion enthusiasts are eagerly planning their outfits, and the Farshi Shirt trend is poised to steal the spotlight this season. Expect to see vibrant colors, intricate embroidery, and luxurious fabrics dominating markets and online stores nationwide.
