Ingredients required to make Sabudana Tikki
To make perfect and delicious Sabudana Tikki, you will need these things:
- 1 cup sago (well soaked)
- 2–3 boiled and mashed potatoes
- Half cup roasted coarse peanuts
- 2–3 finely chopped green chillies
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped coriander
- 1 tsp cumin
- rock salt as per taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Ghee or refined oil for frying
Easy method of making Sabudana Tikki
If you want your tikkis to be perfect and crispy, then follow these easy steps:
- First of all, wash the sago thoroughly 2–3 times and soak it in less water for 4–5 hours or overnight.
- When the sago swells well, add mashed potatoes, peanuts and all the other ingredients to it.
- Mix everything well and prepare a soft dough like mixture.
- Now apply some oil on your hands and make round and flat tikkis from the mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.
- After putting the tikki in oil, do not turn it immediately, first let it become crispy from one side.
- When one side becomes golden, turn it and fry the other side also well.
When the tikki becomes golden brown and crisp on both sides, take it out from the pan.
