South Korean MC Ding Dong said he would take “civil and criminal action” against those who spread the video of him pulling the hair of a female livestreamer during a broadcast.
“Among the content currently circulating online, there are clearly parts that are different from the facts or have been distorted and exaggerated based only on certain scenes,” he said in a post quoted by Channel News Asia. “I am taking this matter very seriously and through my legal representative, I am currently proceeding with the necessary measures, including civil and criminal action.”

Ding Dong also said he would respond strongly to the spread of unblurred videos or photos, unverified claims, and posts or comments containing malicious defamation or false information.
“The accurate details will be clearly revealed through legal procedures and the investigation. I sincerely apologise for causing concern,” the post continued.
According to Chosun Bizthe incident happened during a livestream on March 7, when Ding Dong allegedly assaulted a female presenter after she performed a rap mocking his past drunk-driving and hit-and-run case. He later apologized for his actions.
SBS Star reported that the victim later wrote in an online community that she is undergoing psychiatric treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and panic symptoms. She was also diagnosed with injuries that require two weeks of recovery.
She said Ding Dong later offered her 10 million won (US$6,700) as a settlement, but she refused.
