Abrar Ahmed will not play for Kavya Maran's team? This can happen due to this decision of PCB

Pakistani cricketer Abrar Ahmed, who was bought by IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran by spending crores of rupees in The Hundred auction, may no longer be seen playing for her team. Kavya Maran had added Pak spinner Abrar Ahmed to her team Sunrisers Leeds of The Hundred for Rs 2.30 crore. The reason for Abrar Ahmed not playing with Kavya Maran's team in The Hundred could be the cricket schedule of the Pakistani team.

Why can't Abrar play for Kavya Maran's team?

In fact, at the time when The Hundred League is to be organized in England, the Pakistan team has to go on a tour of West Indies to play a Test series. The Hundred 2026 is to start from 21st July and will continue till 16th August. Whereas Pakistan's tour of West Indies will be from 15th July to 7th August. Pakistan's Test team for the West Indies tour has not been announced yet. But, if Abrar Ahmed is selected in the Pakistan team for the West Indies tour, then it is difficult that he will be seen playing for Kavya Maran's team.

This decision of PCB and Abrar may be out of The Hundred

The selectors of Pakistan Cricket Board will soon announce the team for the West Indies tour. If we talk about Abrar Ahmed, he has been an important member of Pakistan's Test team. In such a situation, his selection for the West Indies tour is considered almost certain. If the PCB decides to select him in the team, then Abrar may have to withdraw from The Hundred team Sunrisers Leeds, which is owned by Kavya Maran.

2 test series between Pakistan and West Indies

Pakistan has to play a 2-Test series on the West Indies tour. Apart from that they have to play a 4-day warm-up match. This test series will be part of the World Test Championship. The first Test of the series will be played at Queens Park Oval. Whereas the second test will be held at Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
