Udupi: Several people were injured on Wednesday when a chain accident occurred at Santhekatte.
A Baleno and an Etios car were travelling from Kundapura towards Udupi. While attempting to overtake a car in front, the Baleno lost control and collided with a private bus heading from Udupi to Kundapura.
The Baleno was completely damaged in the collision, and its driver, Jagadish Tholar, sustained injuries. Two passengers in the Etios were also injured and admitted to the hospital.
Another car was slightly damaged in the accident, but fortunately, the passengers escaped without serious injuries. Some bus passengers suffered minor injuries, and the front portion of the bus was badly damaged. The bus passengers were transported to their destination in another vehicle.
Traffic police visited the site and inspected the vehicles. A case has been registered.
