Sullia/Subrahmanya: Several parts of Dakshina Kannada district received good rainfall accompanied by strong winds on Wednesday.
Heavy rain was reported in many areas of Sullia taluk and around Kukke Subrahmanya during the afternoon. Sullia town and nearby regions witnessed steady showers, while Panja recorded thunder and lightning. Hailstorm was reported in Yenekallu area. Subrahmanya region also received good rainfall.
The day remained largely cloudy across Sullia taluk. In Kadaba and Belthangady taluks, several areas received rainfall during the evening hours, with dense cloud cover and occasional thunder. Power supply was disrupted for a short period in some places. No damage has been reported.
Rainfall has been continuing in parts of Sullia, Belthangady and Kadaba taluks for the past three to four days.
