Who is Vikram Doraiswami? Meet India's New Ambassador to China!

On Thursday, the Indian government announced the appointment of Vikram Doraiswami as the new ambassador to China. Doraiswami, who joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1992, is currently the High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom.
This strategic move comes as India and China work towards mending their relationship, which has faced significant challenges due to a prolonged border standoff in eastern Ladakh that has lasted over four years.
He will be taking over the position from Pradeep Kumar Rawat and is expected to commence his new role soon, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs.
