There are many banana bread recipes to choose from. From Mary Berry's all-in-one cake to an egg and butter-free recipe, it can be hard to know what gives the best results. Luckily, this air fryer recipe on Good Food has several five-star reviews, with commenters saying it's "such an easy recipe" and that it's "much quicker and easier" than others they've tried.

The recipe notes said: "Give this classic a flavour boost with the option of adding pecans and chocolate chips, or try any other nuts if you prefer. Make this in the air fryer for ease." For this recipe, you'll need a greased and lined loaf tin.

Ingredients:

150ml sunflower or vegetable oil

150g caster sugar

150g self-raising flour

One teaspoon of baking powder

Two eggs

Two overripe bananas

50g pecans, optional

50g chocolate chips, optional

Method:

Oil a loaf tin and line it with baking parchment; make sure it fits in your air fryer basket.

If it doesn't, use a muffin tin or a shape that will work with your air fryer.

Heat the air fryer to 160°C. Combine the oil, sugar, flour, baking powder and eggs in a bowl.

Mash the bananas, then mix them into the batter. Mix in half the pecans and all of the chocolate chips.

Pour into the tin and top with the remaining pecans.

Bake for 45 minutes to one hour until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Check after 20 minutes in case it's browning too much.

If so, turn the heat down to 140°C, or cover with foil to prevent burning. Leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
