Actor Chuck Norris, known for his roles in action films of the 1970s and beyond, has passed away. Norris was aged 86 at the time of death. The actor’s family announced the news through social media earlier today.
In their statement, the family said that they want to not disclose the circumstances around Norris’ death as it is a private matter. The statement further said, “To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.” It continued, “He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.”
Best known for his role in 1972’s The Way of the Dragonco-starring Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris is a champion in martial arts with black belts in judo, Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, Chun Kuk Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Tang Soo Do.
