In a strong crackdown on crime, the Gujarat government led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken strict action against those involved in attacking police personnel in Patan district.

The administration acted swiftly after a police emergency (112) vehicle was pelted with stones in Jhiliya village of Chanasma. Treating the incident as a serious challenge to law and order, authorities launched a demolition drive targeting illegal properties linked to the accused.

Farmhouse Linked to ‘Mastani Gang’ Demolished

A luxurious farmhouse, locally known as “Ramdhani Estate,” was demolished by the police and district administration. The property allegedly belonged to Bhavesh Rabari, also known as Jhiliya, who is believed to be associated with the “Mastani Gang.”

The demolition was carried out under tight security supervision led by Patan SP.

Illegal Encroachment on Government Land Removed

Investigations revealed that Rabari had illegally occupied around 7,700 square metres of government grazing land (gauchar land) under Survey No. 166.

On this encroached land, he had constructed a two-storey luxurious house, a garden, paver block roads and a large veranda.

The demolished structure was estimated to be worth over Rs.28 lakh, though locals claim the actual cost was significantly higher.

Accused Has Over 20 Criminal Cases

Police records indicate that Bhavesh Rabari has a long criminal history, with over 20 serious cases registered against him in Patan and nearby districts.

These include extortion, assault and illegal liquor trade.

Authorities also alleged that the farmhouse was being used as a base for planning criminal activities and sheltering bootleggers.

Strong Message from Govt

State Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi said the action sends a clear message that those who take the law into their own hands will not be spared.

The stone-pelting incident on a police vehicle was termed a direct insult to law enforcement, and the bulldozer action was described as a firm response.

The government reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring strict action against anti-social elements disrupting public order.
