Udupi: The Sri Ramanavami Mahotsava will be held at Shiroor Mutt from March 25 to 28, the Mutt administration said.
Addressing a press meet on Monday, Mutt Diwan Dr Udaykumar Sarlatthaya said the celebrations will begin on March 25 with puja to the presiding deity by Vishwaprasanna Tirtha of Pejawar Mutt.
On March 26, Katte Puja will be performed. On March 27, the rituals will include special puja with Panchamruta, Pavamana Kalashabhisheka, puja to Mukhya Prana, Palla Puja and Annasantarpane. On the same day, Samsthana Puja will be performed by Vishwavallabha Tirtha of Kaniyoor Mutt.
Cultural programmes including Dasavani music, Sri Krishna Leelamruta Yakshagana, Maharathotsava and Olagamandapa Puja will also be held.
On March 28, the schedule includes the daytime Rathotsava, Avabhruta Snana in the Suvarna River, and Samsthana Puja by Vidyasagara Tirtha of Krishnapura Mutt. In the evening, Bobbarya Daiva Kola will be performed.
Special Sri Ramanavami pujas will also be held at Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt during the festival, he added.
