Kalaburagi: A 28-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in a shocking incident that took place in broad daylight near Balurgi village in Afzalpur taluk of the district on Thursday (March 26).
The deceased has been identified as Shaila (28), a native of Maharashtra. Police said the accused husband, Akshay, carried out the crime in the middle of the road.
According to initial information, the accused had brought his wife in an Ertiga car and later attacked her near Balurgi. He allegedly forced her out of the vehicle and slit her throat, leading to her death on the spot.
The incident was reportedly recorded on a mobile phone by a local person. Eyewitnesses were present at the scene but did not intervene.
After committing the crime, the accused is said to have dragged the victim by her hair before carrying out the fatal attack.
A case has been registered at Afzalpur Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
