Gujarat Politics: Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, who were on a visit to Gujarat, launched a scathing attack on the secret alliance between the BJP and Congress by holding a “Vijay Vishwas Sabha” in Dahod. Addressing the crowd, Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Gujarat have risen up against the BJP’s oppression and are going to bring about change by joining forces with the Aam Aadmi Party.

Seeing the growing public support for the Aam Aadmi Party, the BJP is scared and is getting our workers arrested every day. He said that in 30 years, the BJP government has failed to provide good schools, hospitals, or even water for agriculture because their intentions are bad. This time, the public will vote for free electricity for agriculture and homes, Rs 1,000 for women, health insurance worth Rs 10 lakh, and good schools.

Tribal society was looted and oppressed – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that in the last 30 years, the BJP, in collaboration with the Congress, has looted Gujarat. They have plundered and oppressed the tribal communities the most. Gujarat has the most backward and exploited tribal communities. There are no provisions for education or employment for children. Children are forced to work as farmers, but the BJP government has also made the farmers’ lives miserable.

He said that the central and state governments annually allocate billions of rupees for the welfare of tribal communities. If the funds received for tribal welfare over the past 30 years were distributed directly to each individual, each person would become a millionaire. However, the money meant for tribal communities ends up in the pockets of the BJP and Congress.

Arvind Kejriwal said that the poorest of the poor work in the NREGA, sweating in the scorching heat. They receive money for only 100 jobs. These people embezzled the MNREGA funds by entering the names of laborers. The laborers are unaware that their names have been thumbprinted. When he asked to see the register, the BJP government arrested him and put him in jail. The BJP government minister who stole NREGA funds was not jailed because he funneled the money to the higher authorities. Chaitar Vasava spent three months in jail to secure the rights of the poor. Similarly, billions of rupees are spent on the Tap Water Scheme, but no one has tap water in their homes. The BJP has embezzled all of this money.

They don’t even build a school for the children – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that with the votes of ordinary people, BJP and Congress members become MLAs and ministers. Their children study abroad, while there are no proper government schools for ordinary people’s children. When they fall ill, they go abroad for treatment, and their children even get MLA tickets, but the children of ordinary people have no future.

The common man votes for himself, not for these people. The BJP government has committed the most atrocities against the tribal community. They have taken away their water, forests, and land. The police and forest department also harass them. Today, the highest number of FIRs are registered against tribal people.

Good opportunity to wipe out Congress-BJP: Kejriwal

Farmers in Gujarat are facing huge bills: Kejriwal

Now, farmers receive free electricity during the day to irrigate their fields through tube wells, and they don’t have to pay bills. However, in Gujarat, farmers have to pay electricity bills for irrigating their fields. To ensure free agricultural electricity, remove the BJP and form a government with a broom.

Neither medicine is available nor tests are done – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that in Punjab, farmers receive payment for their crops within 24 hours. However, in Gujarat, payments are delayed for several months. If farmers are happy, Gujarat is happy too.

The AAP government’s second initiative was to provide health insurance of up to 10 lakh rupees to every family. Now, ordinary people in Punjab will also receive free treatment in the major hospitals where the Chief Minister receives his treatment. Today, government hospitals in Gujarat are in a dilapidated state. Medicines are unavailable, and tests are not conducted. Private hospitals charge lakhs of rupees. Gujarat should also have health insurance of 10 lakh rupees. But for this, the BJP will have to be ousted and the broom will have to be brought in.

Electricity should be free for common people too: Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP and Congress are opposing the 10 lakh rupee insurance. They say that government hospitals exist for the poor. They will develop a bad habit. When Chief Ministers, Ministers, and MLAs receive free treatment, farmers should also receive it. Furthermore, the AAP government has made household electricity free along with farming. Previously, even small households used to receive bills of thousands of rupees, but now the bill is zero.

Today, Gujarat has the most expensive electricity in the entire country. Congress and BJP leaders have also opposed the free electricity scheme. They claim that the Bhagwant Mann government is squandering money on the poor and inculcating a habit of freebies. If electricity is free for their Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs, and MPs, then it should be free for ordinary households as well.

We will make the future of your children – Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal said that the AAP government provided free electricity to farmers and households, provided health insurance of 10 lakh rupees, and then gave women 1,000 rupees per month. The people of Gujarat can also get all this, but to do so, the BJP will have to be driven out. They have ruined the children of the tribal community. There are no proper government schools for them to study.

Now people are withdrawing their children from private schools and enrolling them in government schools. Children from government schools in Punjab are now becoming engineers and doctors. Government school teachers are sent abroad for training. Form an AAP government in Gujarat, and we will build your children’s future. No leader other than Kejriwal can talk about educating your children and building their future.

Even if our relative indulges in corruption, he will go to jail: Kejriwal

Rather, if the Chief Minister finds out, he demands his share from the MLA. If even one of our own people indulges in corruption or betrays the public, they will go straight to jail. The Aam Aadmi Party is the only staunchly honest party in the entire country.

BJP is lying, Kejriwal is staunchly honest: Kejriwal

BJP is scared of Aam Aadmi Party

The BJP doesn’t arrest Congress members because the Congress is in cahoots with the BJP. On Wednesday, five AAP candidates were arrested. A day before that, four workers were arrested. Before that, 10 workers were arrested. They can arrest as many of our workers as they want. Now the people of Gujarat have sided with AAP. Now the entire Gujarat is demanding change.

Like Punjab, we will fulfill all our promises: CM Mann

During this, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said that it has been four years since our government came to power in Punjab. We have fulfilled all our promises in the fourth year of our government. If the AAP government is formed in Gujarat, it will fulfill all its promises. He said that earlier, the farmers of Punjab were in the same situation as those of Gujarat today. There, too, electricity would come at midnight. Farmers could not sleep the entire night and their fields could not be irrigated. But today, farmers in Punjab get electricity for eight hours a day. Now, like officers, farmers eat a leisurely meal in the morning, go to their fields for duty, and in the evening, turn off their tube wells and return home. In Punjab, farmers bring their crops to the market, and their produce is weighed and sold the same day. By the time they reach home with their tractor-trolley, they receive a message on their mobile phone that the money for their harvest has been deposited in their account.

Life insurance of Rs 10 lakh per family

Bhagwant Mann stated that every family in Punjab has been provided with life insurance coverage of ₹10 lakh. People can simply show their card at any major hospital, and the Punjab government will pay the bill, even if it’s ₹5 lakh or ₹7 lakh. Now, no one in Punjab can afford medical treatment due to lack of funds. He added that the BJP has been looting the people of Gujarat for 30 years. The BJP is claiming that the Aam Aadmi Party can hold as many rallies as they want, claiming they have the money and will bribe people to get their votes. Bhagwant Mann appealed to the public that if they come to offer money, they should not refuse, as it is the public’s money. However, on voting day, they should only press the broom button.

90% of households have zero electricity bills

Bhagwant Mann said that the BJP and Congress are in collusion. If people vote for the Congress, they should understand that the vote has gone to the BJP, as their MLA later joins them. Today, electricity is completely free in Punjab. 90% of households in Punjab receive zero electricity bills, while in Gujarat, people receive hefty bills but no electricity.
