Ayurveda explains the methods of bathing according to Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The human body runs on the balance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha and each has its own tendency. In such a situation, taking bath after understanding the body reduces diseases and the body feels healthy.
If your tendency is Vata then dryness remains in the body. Due to vata, hands and feet become cold. In such a situation, a person with vata tendency should always take bath with lukewarm water and after bath, do abhyanga with any oil. Bathing with oil reduces dryness of the body and deeply nourishes the skin.
If the tendency is phlegm then symptoms like heaviness, cold and lethargy are always seen in the body. In such a situation, people with phlegm tendency should take bath with hot water, because bathing with cold water increases phlegm in the body. People with phlegm tendency should take bath in the morning and should avoid bathing in the afternoon. Warm water will help in reducing phlegm.
If the tendency is pitta then there is excessive heat in the body, pimples appear on the face, burning sensation in the stomach and excessive sweating. In such a situation, people with bile tendencies should take bath with normal water or lukewarm water.
