Every year, Hanuman Jayanti—also known as Hanuman Janmotsav (Hanuman's Birth Celebration)—is observed on the *Purnima Tithi* (Full Moon Day) of the *Chaitra Shukla Paksha* (the waxing phase of the moon in the month of Chaitra). According to beliefs, Bajrangbali (Lord Hanuman) is immortal and remains physically present on Earth even today to protect his devotees. Therefore, this day is celebrated as the anniversary of his birth. On this auspicious occasion, grand worship ceremonies and rituals are organized in Hanuman temples across the country.

Additionally, to seek the Lord's blessings, offerings (*Bhog*) of *Sindoor* (vermilion), *Boondi*, *Chola* (sacred attire), and *Besan ke Laddus* (gram flour sweets) are presented. This practice helps dispel all fears, afflictions, obstacles, and negative energies from the devotee's mind. Moreover, it infuses one's life with courage, strength, and self-confidence. In this context, let us find out exactly when Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated in the year 2026.

When is Hanuman Janmotsav 2026?
According to the *Panchang* (Hindu almanac), the *Purnima Tithi* of *Chaitra Shukla Paksha* will commence this year on April 1, 2026, at 7:06 AM.
This *Tithi* will conclude on April 2, 2026, at 7:41 AM.
Based on the *Udaya Tithi* (the prevailing lunar day at sunrise), the festival of Hanuman Janmotsav will be celebrated on April 2, 2026.

Auspicious *Yogas* (Celestial Alignments)

This year, the *Hasta Nakshatra* (constellation) will prevail on the day of Hanuman Janmotsav, lasting until 5:38 PM. Additionally, the auspicious *Dhruva Yoga* will also coincide with this date. Furthermore, this day holds significant astrological importance, as the planet Mars (*Mangal*) will transit into the Pisces (*Meen*) zodiac sign on this very day. It is worth noting that the planet Mars is closely associated with Lord Hanuman. Consequently, this rare celestial alignment is expected to be highly beneficial.

Worship Method (*Puja Vidhi*)
For the worship ceremony, begin by spreading a clean, new red cloth over a *Chowki* (a small wooden altar or stool).
Next, place the idol or image of Lord Hanuman upon it.
First, offer *Sindoor* (vermilion) and a garland of flowers to the Lord.
Subsequently, light *Dhup* (incense) and a *Deep* (lamp), and offer *Boondi* as *Bhog*.
During this ritual, it is also considered auspicious to offer *Besan ke Laddus* (gram flour sweets), as this pleases the Lord immensely.
Finally, with deep reverence and devotion, recite the *Hanuman Chalisa*. Now, offer jaggery and roasted gram, along with a *paan beeda* (betel leaf preparation).
Finally, perform the *Aarti* and distribute the *Prasad* among everyone.
