Last year on June 4, Royal Challengers Bangalore won their first IPL title, to celebrate which they organized a victory parade for their fans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. But this celebration turned into mourning. A stampede broke out due to the huge crowd outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In this tragic accident, 11 people lost their lives, while dozens were injured.

As a tribute to the 11 people who lost their lives in the accident, Royal Challengers Bangalore and the state cricket association have decided that 11 seats at the Chinnaswamy Stadium will always be kept vacant. Let us tell you, from now on, tickets for these 11 seats in this ground will never be sold during IPL and international matches.

Let us tell you, a special memorial has been built near the entry gate of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which will be inaugurated just before the first match of this season. According to reports, before the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad match, the names of all the 11 victims will be shown on the big screen and a minute’s silence will be observed in their memory.

There will be no opening ceremony

Every year, a grand opening ceremony is organized before the opening match of the Indian Premier League, in which Bollywood stars perform. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided not to organize this event this time. According to a report in Times of India, the board has taken this decision to pay tribute to those 11 people.
