Massive set being constructed for Tummbbad 2 in Mumbai

Preparations for ‘Tumbbad 2’ are underway, with a massive set currently being constructed in Mumbai for the film’s first schedule.
The original ‘Tumbbad’, spearheaded by actor-producer Soham Shah, gradually attained cult-classic status and is considered one of the best Hindi horror films. Its re-release in 2024 scripted history by becoming the second-highest-grossing re-released film. Since then, audiences have been eagerly waiting for ‘Tumbbad 2’, and Soham Shah’s announcement has only increased the excitement.
Sources said a huge and complete ‘city’ set is being prepared in Mumbai for the first schedule of the film. “A massive set of 7-8 acres is being constructed in Mumbai for the film. It will be an entire city, which is being built for the first schedule of the film. Not much is known about the story or treatment of the film yet, except that Soham Shah will be back in his old role.”
The film, produced in collaboration with Sohum Shah Films and Pen Studios, will go on floors later this year and will be headed by veteran producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada.
