Bureau Prayagraj. After Ajit Pawar’s death, was there an attempt to take over the party? At least this is what Ajit Pawar’s nephew Rohit Pawar has claimed. He said that Prafull Patel and State President Sunil Tatkare had tried to capture NCP. He said that this was foiled by Sunetra Pawar.

NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) leader and MLA Rohit Pawar presented a letter sent by Praful Patel and Tatkare to the Election Commission in support of his claim. However, Sunil Tatkare rejected his claim outright and claimed that the Sharad Pawar faction wanted to take over the party by merging it.

Before knowing what Tatkare has replied to these allegations, let us know what Rohit Pawar has claimed. Rohit said in a press conference that after the death of Ajit Pawar, NCP leader Praful Patel and Maharashtra State President Sunil Tatkare had tried to take over the party.

Rohit Pawar said that Ajit Pawar died on January 28 and just 18 days later on February 16, Prafull Patel, Sunil Tatkare and NCP national secretary Brijmohan Srivastava wrote a letter to the Election Commission. He said that in this he falsely claimed that the party’s constitution has been changed and all powers should be handed over to working president Praful Patel.

Rohit Pawar said, ‘This was a pre-planned conspiracy. He kept Sunetra Pawar and other family members in the dark. Neither Sunetra Pawar nor her son Parth Pawar were informed. Even the party MLAs did not know anything. Later, when Sunetra got information about this, she sent a letter to the Election Commission and appealed to consider the letter sent earlier as invalid.

Rohit Pawar showed both the letters in front of the media. One is Praful Patel’s letter of 16 February and the other is Sunetra Pawar’s letter of 10 March. Rohit has said that he came to know about this letter when Sunetra Pawar became the national president of the party. He wrote a letter to the Election Commission on March 10 saying that no letter from January 2 till he became the president should be valid. Due to this, Prafulla Patel’s efforts failed.
