Bengaluru: In the first match of the IPL 2026 season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered a resounding win by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six wickets. After this victory, Virat Kohli showed a lovely moment of Virushka to the fans on the field.
During the match, while chasing the target, Virat Kohli batted brilliantly and took the team to the target of 202 runs. Kohli scored 69 runs in 38 balls, which included five wickets. During this performance, he also made a record of completing 6000 runs in T20 career and became the first batsman in IPL history to cross 4000 runs in chase.
RCB’s innings started with some boundary shots from Phil Salt, but he was out early. After this, Kohli took command of the match and along with Devdutt Padikkal took the team to the goal, ensuring victory with 26 balls left.
After the win, Kohli turned towards the stands and blew a kiss to his wife, actress Anushka Sharma. The video of the adorable moment went viral on social media within minutes and fans called it “another green flag moment from King Kohli”.
This win for RCB is not only a great start for the team but also recorded one of the fastest 200+ run chases ever in the tournament.
