According to the Panchang, Hanuman ji was born on the full moon date of Chaitra month. Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated on 2 April 2026, Thursday, based on the calculation of Udaya and Udaya Tithi of Chaitra Purnima in the year 2026. Since this time this festival is falling on Thursday, which is the day of Lord Vishnu and Hanuman ji is a great devotee of Lord Rama, the importance of this day has increased even more.

Importance of Hanuman Jayanti

According to religious beliefs, Hanuman ji is the 11th incarnation of Shiva and he is immortal. He is called the awakened god of Kaliyuga. By observing fast and worshiping on the day of Hanuman Jayanti, all the troubles and fears of life go away. By worshiping him one gets freedom from the evils of Shani Dev and Mars.

Puja method of Hanuman Jayanti (Hanuman Jayanti ki Puja Vidhi)

Wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean red or yellow clothes. Then take water in your hand and take a pledge to fast and worship. Spread a red cloth on a post and install the statue or picture of Hanuman ji. Also keep the picture of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita along with it. Offer jasmine oil and vermilion to Hanuman ji and then offer chola. Then offer them gram flour laddu, motichoor laddu or boondi. After this, recite Hanuman Chalisa, Bajrang Baan or Sunderkand. At the end, light incense sticks and perform aarti of Lord Hanuman and pray for happiness and prosperity.
