Pakistani digital creator Sehar Hayat has spoken publicly for the first time about her divorce from Sami Rasheed, sharing detailed reasons behind her decision to seek khula.

Sehar, who gained widespread attention following her lavish wedding in 2023, confirmed that she formally ended her marriage in September 2025. She addressed circulating claims on social media and clarified her stance regarding the separation, stating that her decision was not made lightly.

In her statement shared on Instagram, Sehar alleged that she experienced ongoing verbal abuse and repeated threats of divorce during the marriage. She also claimed that these circumstances created an environment where she ultimately felt compelled to take legal separation through khula.

She further stated that financial responsibilities to their daughter were not consistently met, and expressed concern over public discussions surrounding her personal life. Sehar also addressed remarks made about her past, noting that such matters were being brought into public discourse in a manner she found inappropriate.

Her comments come amid ongoing public discussion about the couple’s separation, which has remained a topic of interest on social media since their split. Sehar emphasized that she chose to speak out in response to what she described as misinformation and ongoing speculation.
