There's one more move that Prince Harry needs to make if he really wants to return to Sandringham this summer to spend time with his father King Charles, and I'm not sure he's going to like it, but there's one person who certainly won't be happy - his wife. When Harry and his Duchess Meghan Markle moved over to the US, they didn't just put the nail in the coffin, they hammered it in, hard, and then plastered over it. Their relationship with the UK was obliterated after a series of missteps, and I wasn't sure they'd be able to find their way back.

Harry is making it clearer than ever that he wants to rebuild his relationship with the royals, but he and Meghan made a series of mistakes that need to be fixed before they can even remotely think about doing that. However, there's one thing that has to be done and a decision that needs to be made for good; apologise and cull the TV work once and for all.

We're not just talking about a private apology too, it needs to be public. Harry and Meghan didn't just make a mockery of the Royal Family, but of the entire UK; they spoke their version of the truth in the Oprah Winfrey interview, that was bad enough, but their silly documentary on Netflix was just a new level of embarrassment. Harry sat there while his wife degraded UK tradition and made fun of having to curtsey at his grandmother. To Meghan, she may have been Harry's grandmother, to the UK, she was our Queen Elizabeth II, the beloved monarch. It was a huge error.

In one fell swoop they broke their relationship with the UK just to get more views on a TV show, with a platform that dropped them as soon as they weren't of interest anymore. Their relationship with Netflix has been severed, and it's time to ditch any hopes of working on more TV, and instead focus their efforts on rebuilding their relationship not just with the royals, but with the rest of the UK too.

Harry was loved, so loved, in the UK. People have always felt for him, his relationship with his brother Prince William was always admired, it could be entirely doable for Harry to worm his way back into the royal fold. To do that, that apology needs to be screened, sincere and soon. Now Harry, I can see him apologising. Meghan? That's where things get questionable. If Meghan wants to come back, she needs to join Harry in issuing that apology, but I don't think she'll be in a rush to do that anytime soon.

Let's be honest, Meghan is the leading lady when it comes to trying to secure TV work, with her (now dropped) TV shows with Netflix and her historic work with Suits, but she knew what she was getting into when she decided to marry a prince. So Meghan, it's time to reap what you sow. The pair are facing the ultimate choice right now, they either need to cut ties with the UK and the royals completely and stop the nonsense of "oh he wants to come back, oh wait no he doesn't", or they need to accept that they did something wrong, apologise, and show the Royal Family and the rest of the UK that some serious mistakes were made. It's a big choice, but they know what the right one is, and they know what they need to do.
