Kabir Khan joins MovieDOM as chief creative mentor , marking a major step in blending cinema with Web3 innovation . The blockchain-powered entertainment platform is redefining filmmaking through decentralised crowdfunding , fan ownership and transparent revenue sharing.
In his new role, Khan will review and vet scripts, concepts and project ideas submitted to the platform, curating promising stories and offering expert feedback to elevate storytelling quality. Selected projects will gain access to crowdfunding via MovieDOM’s global community of $MDOM token holders and shareholders, enabling democratised production, distribution and automatic royalties through smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. The ecosystem also includes its MdomX exchange and extends to music, events and mini-multiplex cinemas — turning audiences into active “Fan2Founder” stakeholders with fractional ownership.
Known for socially driven narratives, Khan brings decades of experience with films like Kabul Express, New York, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ek Tha Tiger, 83 and Chandu Champion. His mentorship is expected to attract top-tier talent while empowering independent voices within a community-led model.
“This role allows me to shape the future of filmmaking while continuing my directorial work. MovieDOM’s innovative crowdfunding and commitment to diverse, meaningful narratives align perfectly with my vision. I’m excited to mentor and help democratise access to global production resources,” said Khan.
Hira Bulani, founder and CEO of MovieDOM, added, “Kabir Khan’s involvement elevates MovieDOM and brings masterclass insights. His storytelling excellence and industry stature will attract top-tier projects and inspire creators globally. Together, we’re bridging traditional filmmaking with blockchain innovation to create a more equitable, community-driven entertainment landscape.”
The mentorship-focused role allows Khan to offer strategic creative oversight without impacting his ongoing film projects. The collaboration signals a significant milestone in merging cinematic storytelling with Web3 technology, paving the way for a more transparent and inclusive global entertainment ecosystem.
