Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), has expressed admiration for the young batting talent Vaibhav Suryavanshi, praising his fearless and aggressive style. Jadeja noted that Suryavanshi maintains the same intensity in practice as he does during matches. Despite challenging pitch conditions in RR's opening match of the IPL 2026 against Chennai Super Kings, where seamers found assistance with the new ball, Suryavanshi managed to play audacious shots and quickly reached a fifty, which Jadeja described as an outstanding performance. "You can't bowl him into the stumps during practice; he sends every ball flying into the stands. Vaibhav possesses a fearless mindset. He approaches the nets with the same attitude as he does in games. What he accomplished today was remarkable, especially with the new ball swinging. It was tough, yet he hit big shots and scored 50 runs in just a few deliveries," Jadeja remarked in a video shared by the Rajasthan Royals on Instagram.

Suryavanshi's Remarkable Achievement

Suryavanshi's performance was nothing short of spectacular, marking the second-fastest fifty by a Rajasthan Royals player in IPL history. His quick-fire half-century contributed significantly to RR's dominant eight-wicket victory over CSK in Guwahati on Monday. While chasing a target of 128 runs, Suryavanshi's 15-ball fifty and a rapid 75-run partnership with Jaiswal effectively sealed the match for RR.

Suryavanshi Reflects on Facing Jadeja

Suryavanshi also acknowledged Jadeja's extensive experience and tactical awareness, emphasizing that his deep understanding of batters makes him a formidable opponent. He admitted that facing Jadeja is challenging due to his strategic bowling but also found the experience enjoyable and educational. "He has been playing for India across all formats for a long time and possesses immense experience. He understands the tendencies of batters and has a wealth of knowledge as a seasoned player. He knows where to bowl. It's clear that batting against him is tough, but the competition is enjoyable," Suryavanshi stated.

Jadeja's Return to Rajasthan Royals

Before the 2026 season, Jadeja returned to the Rajasthan Royals following a significant trade deal with CSK. Alongside Sam Curran, he joined the Rajasthan franchise as Sanju Samson transitioned to the five-time champions. Jadeja was part of the historic squad that won the title for Rajasthan Royals in 2008 and later became a key player for Chennai Super Kings after joining them in 2012.
