New Delhi, Mar 31:
Ahead of Assam Assembly Elections 2026, PM Modi praised BJP-led government, saying that for a decade of peace, stability, and development has been witnessed across the state under the current government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that Assam went through a prolonged period of instability, but over the past decade, the BJP’s double-engine government has worked diligently to maintain peace in the state.
The prime minister said BJP workers must remind people how the Congress “used to make agreements only on paper to create headlines and mislead people.”
“We have seen the era when Assam was burning in violence. Assam experienced a long span of instability, but things have changed over the past decade. Today, we can see a new confidence as the BJP’s double-engine government has made every effort to maintain peace,” he said, the news agency reported.
