West Bengal: Two people were arrested in West Bengal’s Siliguri district on March 30 after they allegedly climbed atop a madrassa and hoisted a saffron flag during a Ramnavami procession the previous day.

The incident occurred in the Kawakhali area. A video posted by The Observer Post showed a large number of Hindutva members, some holding swords, dancing and raising provocative religious slogans in front of the madrasa.

Two climbed on the gate and danced in an overly suggestive manner while brandishing swords, as others cheered.

One of them tied a saffron thread on the dome of the madrassa and continued dancing.
