Apple devices are always at the top of everyone’s wish list. He has several reasons. It is proven that Apple devices are different from all others. What exactly is the matter? Recently, a user on the X handle shared the story of getting his lost AirPods back. He told how the ‘Find My App’ found his stolen AirPods. The user wrote, ‘AirPod has been stolen from Rishikesh. Find My app is showing it is now in Delhi. Someone is actively using them while at the Staff Selection Commission headquarters in Delhi.’ However, the user did not receive the Airpod. Because it was far away. But the important thing in this case is the app that can find the lost AirPods.

But how does Find My App work? It is a large crowdsourced tracking network. Where the device can detect nearby Apple devices by sending a secure Bluetooth signal. Those devices receive the signal and report the location to Apple’s servers. As a result the user can see it in Find My App. More interestingly, this tool is end-to-end encrypted. Apple also can’t see who owns the device.

How to activate Find My App?

1. Go to Settings on iPhone or iPad.
2. Click on Apple ID. Then click on Find My option.
3. Now turn on all options i.e. Find My iPhone, Find My Network, Send Last Location.
