There are many temples in India which are known for their unique traditions and beliefs. One of these is Dadaji Dhuni Wale Temple, which has made a special place among the devotees due to its distinct tradition. While in most of the temples of the country, the doors of the sanctum sanctorum are closed during solar eclipse and lunar eclipse, this tradition does not apply in this temple. The sanctum sanctorum here remains open all the time, even during an eclipse. There is deep faith behind this unique tradition and a special idea to Dhuni Saint.
Dadaji Dhuniwale Temple is located in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. In this temple, Dadaji Dhuniwale i.e. Kesavanand Ji Maharaj, who is considered one of the great saints of India, is worshipped. According to religious beliefs, people’s wishes are fulfilled just by visiting this temple. Apart from this, now the question arises that what is the reason due to which the temple courts are never closed.
Reason for not closing the court
It is believed that Saint Dhuni took Samadhi at this place. According to religious beliefs, the planets and stars have no effect on the Samadhi site of Dhuni Saint. For this reason, the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is not closed from solar eclipse to lunar eclipse. Devotees can worship in this temple even during the eclipse because even during this time the priests here perform puja-aarti regularly.
The biggest specialty of Dadaji Dhuni temple is that unlike other temples, there is no fixed time for darshan here. Devotees can go for darshan anytime as per their wish i.e. devotees can enter the temple anytime in 24 hours.
