RIMS Recruitment 2026: A vacancy has been announced for the permanent post of Principal at RIMS Dental College. Interested candidates may apply by April 16.
RIMS Recruitment 2026: A vacancy has been announced for the permanent post of Principal at RIMS Dental College. Interested candidates may apply by April 16. Notably, significant changes have been made to the application terms and conditions this time around, thereby opening up opportunities for a larger pool of candidates.
No Longer a Mandatory Requirement of 25 Years of Experience
Previously, the eligibility criteria for the post of Principal stipulated a mandatory requirement of 25 years of experience following the completion of a postgraduate degree. However, following a High Court order, this condition has been amended. It is anticipated that this change will increase the number of eligible candidates and facilitate the appointment to this post, which has remained vacant for a considerable period.
No Appointment Made for Three Years
It is pertinent to note that for the past three years, RIMS Dental College has been unable to appoint a permanent Principal. Currently, the college is being managed by an Acting Principal, a situation that is adversely affecting both administrative and academic operations.
DCI Directs: Make the Appointment at the Earliest
Regarding this matter, the Dental Council of India (DCI) has repeatedly issued directives to RIMS, urging them to appoint a permanent Principal as soon as possible. The DCI maintains that, in the absence of a regular Principal, it becomes difficult to sustain the institution’s development and uphold its standards.
Furthermore, concerns have been raised that a delay in making this appointment could potentially impact the launch of the proposed MDS course at the Dental College. Consequently, all eyes are now fixed on the current application process and the subsequent appointment.
