“Love Trap”: Trust, then blackmail
Investigation has revealed that the accused earlier used to contact minor girls through social media – especially WhatsApp and Snapchat. He would trap them with the pretext of friendship and love, then call them to cities like Mumbai and Pune and exploit them. The most shocking thing is that the accused used to record videos of these incidents and later blackmailed the victims through those videos. According to sources, in some cases allegations of forcibly pushing girls into prostitution have also come to light.
