Nari Shakti Vandan Act: The special session of Parliament is going to start from today. In which three important bills will be introduced to fully implement the Women’s Reservation Act- Nari Shakti Vandan Act. Earlier, last Wednesday, the Modi Cabinet approved the draft of amendment in the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, so that 33% reservation for women can be implemented before the 2029 elections.

Before the start of the special session of the Parliament, PM Narendra Modi wrote in the X Post, “In the special meeting of the Parliament starting from today, our country is going to take historic steps for women empowerment. Honoring our mothers and sisters is the honor of the nation and with this feeling we are moving forward strongly in this direction. Vyuchanti hi Rashmibhirvishwamabhasi rochanam. Which three bills will be presented in Parliament
The government has released the list of three amendment bills to be introduced in the Lok Sabha. The first bill in which is the Union Territory Laws (Amendment) Bill 2026. The purpose of which is to fix 33% reservation for women in the assemblies of Delhi, Jammu-Kashmir and Puducherry. The second bill is the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill 2026. Its purpose is to increase the number of members in Parliament in view of the new definition of population and increasing population. The third bill is Delimitation Bill 2026. The aim of which is to increase the number of seats in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies. Seats will be re-determined.
