Women’s Reservation Bill: The politics of the country has heated up after the Central Government did not pass the Constitution Amendment (131st Amendment) Bill to women’s reservation. BJP and its allies are accusing the opposition parties of being anti-women. To which Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi has given a sharp reaction and said that the Modi government should immediately bring the old women’s bill, which was passed by all the parties, on Monday itself.

Priyanka Gandhi told the media on Saturday, “Call a Parliament session on Monday, introduce the bill and then let’s see who is against women. We will all vote in favor of this bill and support it.” On the failure of the Constitution Amendment (131st Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha, Priyanka said, “There is nothing to celebrate about it. Rather, we believe we have protected democracy, because their conspiracy was completely different. I had clearly explained in my speech what his plan was. We have foiled their conspiracy regarding delimitation… The entire opposition is unanimous that you should implement the earlier law.”

The Congress leader further said, “After doing nothing for three years, you have issued a notification just two days ago. Now implement it. We have no objection. As far as women’s reservation is concerned, we have stood strongly in support of it. But the way it has been presented, and the kind of conspiracy they are trying to hatch against our democracy and the unity of our country, we can never support it.”
