Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the disruption on April 18 left many arriving travelers waiting between two and four hours for their luggage, according to Malay Mail.
He stressed that any operational lapses at the country’s primary aviation gateway are unacceptable.

The incident sparked a wave of complaints on social media, with frustrated passengers describing chaotic scenes in the arrivals hall.
In a post on a Malaysia Airlines Facebook group, one traveler said the terminal was “super crowded,” adding that baggage claim took over an hour.
“I had dinner at a lounge after landing, but when I came out, my luggage was still nowhere to be found,” the passenger wrote.
The latest disruption follows a similar incident in March, when a brief power trip caused the baggage system to go offline for more than an hour, as reported by The Star.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang spans roughly 100 square kilometers, making it Southeast Asia’s largest airport by land area and a key hub for both domestic and international air travel.
