Mumbai: GMR Sports CEO Satyam Trivedi has quit the organisation, multiple people directly aware of the matter said. The organisation, which owns and co-owns multiple sports franchises including IPL team Delhi Capitals, is in the process of appointing his successor, they added.
Trivedi joined GMR Sports as the chief executive in August 2024 from RPSG Sports, where he served as deputy CEO and executive director. Prior to that, he headed Adani Sportsline. The reason for his resignation could not be confirmed.
An email sent to GMR Sports remained unanswered until press time on Monday.
GMR Sports owns or co-owns Dubai Capitals (International League T20), Seattle Orcas (Major League Cricket), Southern Brave (The Hundred), UP Yoddhas (Pro Kabaddi League) and Telugu Yoddhas (Ultimate Kho Kho). The company also holds the commercial rights to the Rugby Premier League.
