In the 31st match of Indian Premier League 2026, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Delhi Capitals at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Both the teams will come with the same form to play, as they will try to gain momentum.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad are playing under Ishan Kishan and have won 3 matches while losing 3 in the last 6 games. The Delhi Capitals has also won 3 matches from 5, and this match becomes quite important for both the sides.
However both the sides are having some selection headache for today's match. Delhi Capitals are already missing Mitchell Starc and today there is question mark over captain Axar Patel, whereas Pat Cummins has returned in the squad but still has not gained match fitness.

Axar is fit for the match but Cummins is not fit to play
Fitness concerns around the Delhi captain came in light when he had to walk off during their last game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru with cramps and had also missed the post-match press conference, which added fuel to fire for the fans.
Delhi have relieved their fans from this thought and a senior management confirmed to one of the news portal "Axar Patel had a cramp, and he will be fit for the next match." It looks like the Delhi captain will lead the side in the match today.
Meanwhile on the other hand, SRH have still not gain fully match fit for the Australian skipper Pat Cummins. The skipper has not played since July 2025 due to back injury. Although he joined the team squad earlier in the month and again on April 17 for scheduled scan to be done in Australia, he is still working to gain match fitness.
Cummins missed the last fixture against Chennai Super Kings and SRH head coach Daniel Vettori also gave a clear indication about the return of skipper. The Australian leader would be available only from April 25 in a match against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
Hence there are no chances of Pat Cummins featuring in the game against Delhi Capitals today.
So, both the teams will have to take some tough decisions in this selection headache, but Delhi Capitals will be glad to have the services of their captain Axar Patel, whereas SRH will have to wait longer for their key skipper and their main leader in the attack.
Both the sides are equal in the points table, and the clash will be closely fought, and home advantage is on SRH's side.
