Major news has emerged for young aspirants preparing for government jobs. The Patna High Court has released a notification regarding a new recruitment drive. Under this recruitment process, a total of 56 appointments will be made. A key highlight is that the recruitment covers two distinct types of positions: Computer Operator and District Judge. Interested candidates may apply online within the specified dates.

A total of 56 vacancies will be filled under the Patna High Court Recruitment 2026. Of these, 48 positions have been allocated for Computer Operators, while 8 positions are designated for District Judges. The eligibility criteria, age limits, and selection processes for the two positions differ.

What are the Educational Qualifications?

For the position of Computer Operator, it is mandatory to hold a graduate degree from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates must possess a diploma or certificate in Computer Applications. Knowledge of typing is also a mandatory requirement for candidates.

For the position of District Judge, the eligibility criteria applicable to High Court recruitment processes shall apply. Candidates must possess the requisite number of years of experience practicing as an Advocate.

What is the Age Limit?

For the Computer Operator position, the minimum age limit is set at 18 years, while the maximum age limit for applicants is fixed at 37 years. For the District Judge position, the minimum age limit is set at 35 years, with a maximum age limit of 50 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

How will the Selection Process be Conducted?

The recruitment process will be completed in several stages. A preliminary examination (Pre-Exam) may be conducted if deemed necessary. This will be followed by a main examination or written test. For the Computer Operator position, a typing test will also be conducted. In the final stage, a merit list will be released following an interview and document verification process. What is the application fee?

For the post of Computer Operator, candidates belonging to the General, BC, EBC, and EWS categories are required to pay ₹1,100. Meanwhile, SC, ST, and Divyang (differently-abled) candidates must pay ₹550. For the post of District Judge, General category candidates are required to pay ₹1,500, while SC, ST, and other reserved category candidates must pay ₹750.
