Lucknow. On Tuesday, 'Jan Aakrosh Padyatra' was taken out in Lucknow in support of Nari Shakti Vandan Act and against the opposition's protest. Deputy Chief Ministers Brijesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, Minister of State for Panchayat Omprakash Rajbhar, Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh and Union Minister Pankaj Choudhary participated in this padyatra along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Thousands of women also participated in this march and raised loud slogans against Congress and Samajwadi Party.
All the leaders alleged that this bill was going to be passed in the Parliament on April 17, but Congress and Samajwadi Party opposed it. Not only this, he also expressed happiness after the bill was defeated during voting. The leaders called it against women's rights and said that these parties will have to face women's anger in the 2027 elections.
Opposition warned of electoral loss on women's reservation bill protest
Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak said that today the women power of the state is taking to the streets and registering their protest. He alleged that due to the narrow thinking of Samajwadi Party and Congress, the Nari Shakti Vandan Act was stopped in the Parliament. He said that women are now openly protesting against these parties and they will have to face the consequences in the coming elections. He also said that whenever Samajwadi Party has been in government, questions have been raised regarding law and order and women's safety has been affected. In such a situation, now the time has come for women to unite and show their strength.
2027 elections and women vote bank: Keshav Prasad Maurya's big statement
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the role of women will be very important in the 2027 elections. He said that no party can win elections without the support of women. If women are not given reservation, then people will not vote for Samajwadi Party and Congress. Referring to the Prime Minister's resolution, he said that the government is fully committed to providing reservation to women and efforts will continue in this direction.

Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh said that on April 17, women across the country were hopeful that a decision would be taken in favor of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. But Congress and Samajwadi Party not only opposed it but also dropped it during voting. He said that this decision has hurt the sentiments of women. Even after this, the opposition parties expressing happiness reflects their mentality. This is the reason why there is anger against it in the entire country.
Women empowerment vs vote bank politics: Pankaj Chaudhary's allegation
Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary said that women empowerment is the priority of BJP and the government is continuously working in this direction. He said that the objective of Nari Shakti Vandan Act is to give 33 percent reservation to women in Lok Sabha and Assemblies, so that their participation in policy making increases.
He alleged that the opposition opposed this bill due to vote bank politics. Some people raised the issue of regional inequality, while others demanded separate reservation for Muslim women. He said that the government answered all these issues in Parliament, but still the opposition created obstacles.
