The leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat, expressed on January 31, 2026, that the world is currently facing significant challenges, seeking India's wisdom after 2000 years of various experiments in governance, religion, and science. Speaking at the prestigious Kumbhabhishekam ceremony at the Maa Saundarya Chinmayi Temple in Mohanpur, West Tripura, Bhagwat remarked that numerous global models have been tested over centuries, yet none have succeeded in establishing lasting peace and satisfaction.
Bhagwat elaborated that for two millennia, the world has undergone numerous trials. Initially, everything was entrusted to kings, and people believed in the benefits of monarchy. However, over time, kings began to exploit their subjects. He stated that God is the ultimate ruler, leading to the emergence of various religions based on devotion to the divine. Despite efforts to establish peace, these attempts often resulted in bloodshed.
He further highlighted the limitations of the scientific era in alleviating human suffering, noting that the scientific community often demands tangible proof of God’s existence in laboratories. This led to the onset of the scientific age, which has produced many comforts and luxuries, yet satisfaction remains elusive. Issues such as ongoing pain, family breakdowns, and rising crime persist. Wars, once ignited, do not cease, and with development comes environmental degradation.
Bhagwat emphasized that humanity is now confronting the consequences of these prolonged experiments, asserting that after 2000 years, the world is faltering and looking towards India's knowledge. He stated that it is India's duty, as this is the essence of its existence. The event was attended by Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha and other dignitaries.
