On April 24, the newly formed NDA government in Bihar, led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, will undergo a floor test during a special session of the assembly. Given the strong presence of various coalition partners, the government is expected to pass the test without difficulty. The Bankipur assembly seat is currently vacant as its former representative, Nitin Nabin, has been elected as the BJP's national president and subsequently to the Rajya Sabha. Consequently, the NDA holds 201 seats in the state assembly, while the opposition has 41 members in the 243-seat assembly. Nevertheless, the opposition is seizing every opportunity to challenge the new government.

The central and Bihar governments are set to convene a high-level meeting focused on security along the India-Nepal border. This significant meeting, chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will take place on May 2 at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi. Key topics for discussion will include border security, infiltration, and drug trafficking. The new Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary, is expected to participate virtually. Senior officials from the Home Ministry, along with the state's Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit and DGP Vinay Kumar, will also be in attendance. Preparations for the meeting are currently underway.

Recent satellite data released by NASA indicates that the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar region ranks among the brightest areas on Earth in nighttime imagery. An analysis of 1.6 million images taken between 2014 and 2022 reveals a significant increase in brightness. This enhancement is attributed to rapid electrification, expanded infrastructure, and high population density, signaling substantial economic and urban development in the region. Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav asserted that the state's electricity system is among the best in the country, noting NASA's commendation of Bihar's illumination. He remarked that NASA has depicted Bihar as shining like a diamond.
