Mumbai, April 21, 2026: Bharti, one of the leading telecom service provider companies in India Airtel announced today that more than 3,400 new 5G sites have been set up in Maharashtra and Goa, providing customers with faster internet, wider coverage and an improved network experience.

This network expansion has been done extensively in all 36 districts of Maharashtra and Goa, covering over 2.2 crore customers living in urban centres, fast-growing cities and remote villages. This is particularly benefiting customers in emerging and developing districts like Gadchiroli, Nandurbar and Sindhudurg, where new sites are bridging the connectivity deficit, boosting digital inclusion and ensuring reliable internet service.

With more than 9 new sites being activated every day, consumers across different districts of Maharashtra and Goa can now experience seamless streaming, faster downloads, online work and education, as well as more reliable digital payments, wherever they live or travel. This expanded 5G network is enabling the day-to-day digital needs of citizens, students, micro businesses, tourists and government organizations to be seamlessly met.
