Abhishek Sharma has hit one of the most breathtaking knocks of IPL 2026 in match 31 of the ongoing Indian Premier League. Playing against the Delhi Capitals at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, the Sunrisers Hyderabad opener hit an unbeaten 135 runs off 68 balls for his team.
After Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first with Axar Patel to lead the attack, the explosive left-hander completely took the reins of the innings into his own hands. Remaining not out to the end, Abhishek helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to a gigantic total of 242 for the loss of only 2 wickets.
The left-hander hit as many as 10 fours and 10 sixes in his knock, completely dominating the opposition bowlers. Abhishek reached his century in 47 balls, making it one of the quickest hundreds of IPL 2026. With this magnificent knock, Abhishek became the first ever Indian batter to score more than one IPL hundred under 50 balls.

This was also his 9th T20 hundred and that takes him level with Virat Kohli with 9 T20 tons to his name with eight for Sunrisers Hyderabad, one for India. That said, this is Kohli's 9th T20 century which consists of eight for the Indian Premier League with one in India's colours and here are Abhishek's T20 centuries: Two IPL tons for SRH and two T20Is for India and finally five for Punjab domestically in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
