Bihar Weather Update: The heat has started showing its influence in April itself. The entire Bihar including the capital Patna is currently in the grip of scorching heat. In view of the scorching heat, the district administration has changed the timings of schools. An order has been issued to operate schools from 7 am to 12:30 pm in all private, government and Anganwadi centres.
Heat wave alert in Bihar
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heat wave in most of the districts of Bihar for the next 4 days. In many districts the temperature has crossed 41 degrees. Yellow has been issued by the Meteorological Department in about 1 dozen districts of Bihar.
Chances of further increase in temperature
Director of Patna Meteorological Center Ashish Kumar said that the temperature may increase further by 4 degrees in the next 7 days. It is estimated for the next 7 days that the temperature will increase in most of the districts of Bihar and there is also a possibility of heat wave.
41.5 degree temperature in many districts
In more than a dozen districts including Patna, the temperature has been recorded up to 41.5 degrees Celsius. Districts like Gayaji Nawada, Aurangabad, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur and Motihari are also experiencing scorching heat.
Signs of relief from 26th April
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be a slight change in the weather after April 26. There is a possibility of rain in Seemanchal and surrounding areas, which may provide some relief to the people.
warmer than last year
This year in April the temperature has been recorded about 3 degrees higher than last year. At the same time, after April 20, the night temperature has also increased by 4 degrees. Due to which people are feeling more heat at night.
Important advice for people
The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be cautious. Leave the house only if absolutely necessary between 11 am to 3 pm. To avoid heat, wear cotton clothes, cover your head and go out, drink as much water and fluids as possible.
