New Delhi: The much-awaited Hollywood movie,Devil Wears Prada 2, is slated to hit theatres on May 1, 2026. The sequel, which premiered on April 20 in New York, will have a few cameos from the fashion and entertainment world. But, one cameo that was most talked about was of Sydney Sweeney. However, according to reports, her cameo has been cut from the film.

Sydney Sweeney‘s cameo was cut from the film, according to an Entertainment Weekly report. The Euphoria star filmed a three-minute scene, which was supposed to be during the first half of the film. In the scene, the actress was playing herself as a celebrity client who interacts with Emily Charlton, played by Emily Blunt. Reportedly, the scene did not work structurally with the rest of the sequence and the team decided to remove it. According to reports, the decision was called a “creative decision”.

The film’s writer, Aline Brosh McKenna, clarified after speculations were rife that Sydney Sweeney will be a part of the movie. He said, “There were a lot of photos from the set of various people. And then there were those memes, where it was like, ‘So-and- so is in the movie.”

The sequel has several cameos including Lady Gaga, who also recorded for the film’s soundtrack. Supermodel Naomi Campbell also appears in the film.

Directed by David Frankel, the movie stars Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Simone Ashley, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Justin The roux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J Shen, Pauline Chalamet, BJ Novak, Conrad Ricamora and Meryl Streep, among others.
