Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh witnessed a horrific road accident on Wednesday night at the Baraka turn in the Drumandganj valley, where a truck's brakes failed, leading to a collision with two cars and a trailer. Following the crash, both vehicles caught fire, raising fears that seven individuals inside may have perished in the flames.
The tragic incident occurred around 8 PM, causing panic in the area as flames engulfed the two cars, trapping the occupants inside. Eyewitnesses reported chaos as people attempted to escape the burning vehicles.
According to reports, the truck was descending from the Drumandganj hill when it suddenly lost braking control. The out-of-control vehicle first collided with two cars before crashing into a stationary trailer. The impact was so severe that both cars were left in ruins.
Witnesses noted that the occupants of the cars were stuck inside and desperately trying to get out. Local residents rushed to assist, but a loud explosion followed, igniting the vehicles. The fire quickly spread, engulfing everyone inside.
Upon receiving the news, police from the Drumandganj station arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. The fire department was also alerted to control the blaze, but by that time, it was already too late. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and working to identify the victims.
