News India Live, Digital Desk: On the occasion of Civil Services Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a motivational letter to more than 1 crore government employees and civil servants of the country. Through this letter, PM Modi has called for adopting the principle of ‘Nagrik Devo Bhava’ (Citizen is God) in governance. He stressed that the interest of the common citizen should be at the center of every government decision. ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’: Service is the ultimate religion. The Prime Minister wrote in his letter that the government machinery will have to leave the old working style and adopt a ‘Whole-of-Government’ i.e. integrated approach. He advised employees to break down silos between their departments and work together. The PM said, “Administration should be based on compassion and those who hold the responsibility of public service should set the best example of lifelong learning.” Mission Karmayogi and use of digital tools PM Modi mentioned the success of ‘Sadhana Saptah 2026’ (National Learning Week) and praised the 33.4 lakh civil servants who have completed more than 4 hours of training on the iGOT Karmayogi platform. He said that it is imperative to use digital tools and data-driven insights to keep pace with the rapidly changing technological and global circumstances to make governance more transparent and efficient. Roadmap for Developed India @ 2047The Prime Minister reminded the employees that the scale of efforts should no longer be limited to being better than before, but our only standard should be to make India a developed nation by 2047. He wrote in the letter, “The pace, scale, direction and intensity of our efforts should be guided by this vision. India’s progress is the sum of the collective victory of every state and every department.” Letter issued in 12 languages ​​To express respect and encouragement towards civil servants, this letter has been issued in a total of 12 languages ​​including Hindi, English, Marathi, Odia, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Punjabi, Assamese, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil. It aims to convey the PM’s message to the last mile workers from the Central Government to the States and Union Territories.
