However, only those students who meet the category-wise JEE Main cut-off criteria and secure a rank within the top 2.50 lakh are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2026 examination.

If you are one of the eligible candidates, you have a limited window of approximately 10 days to register for JEE Advanced 2026. The registration process is entirely online. Students are advised to keep their scanned documents ready and complete their applications promptly to avoid facing technical glitches at the last minute. Remember, qualifying for JEE Advanced is merely the first step; correctly submitting the application, paying the registration fee, and appearing for the examination constitute the subsequent stages. **Who Can Apply?** Not all students who pass JEE Main are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced; instead, you must fulfill the following key criteria:

**JEE Main Rank:** You must be among the top 2.50 lakh candidates in JEE Main 2026 (across all categories combined).
**Age Limit:** Candidates belonging to the General category must have been born on or after October 1, 2001. A 5-year age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories (who were born on or after October 1, 1996).
**Number of Attempts:** You may attempt the JEE Advanced examination a maximum of two times within two consecutive years.

**Class 12th Performance:** Candidates must have appeared for their Class 12th Board examination for the first time in either 2025 or 2026.

**How ​​to Register for JEE Advanced 2026?**
First, log in to the official JEE Advanced website: jeeadv.ac.in.
Use your JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password to log in.
Your details (Name, Date of Birth, Category) will then be retrieved from the JEE Main database. Please review them carefully.

Next, select your preferred examination cities (you must choose three cities) and choose your medium of examination (English or Hindi).
You will now need to upload scanned copies of your Class 10th certificate (for proof of Date of Birth), Class 12th marksheet, and—if applicable—your Category/Disability certificate.

Subsequently, make the online payment for the registration fee.
The registration fee is ₹1,600 for female candidates and candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories, and ₹3,200 for all other candidates.
