Recently, Jackky Bhagnani opened up about his connection with Rakul Preet Singh, and a certain word caught attention: situationship. Typically, the word refers to undefined romantic relationships; however, Jackky metaphorically used it to depict the casual and easygoing nature of his married life.
He revealed in a recent interview with Zingabad that their marital relationship hardly resembles the kind of expectations that come with the traditional roles of husband and wife. On the contrary, they emphasize just keeping things uncomplicated and stress-free.

According to Jackky, their relationship is a pressure-free one, based on love and understanding rather than duties and obligations. They are very much into each other, yet they don’t impose on one another the pressure of fulfilling day-to-day expectations. He likened their relationship to an ideal scenario where partners do not feel the need to interrogate or monitor each other’s behavior.
Talking about their openness, he mentioned that nothing is hidden between them. So much so that there wouldn’t even be a question of hiding conversations or meetings from each other. For him, this kind of comfort level truly defines their relationship.
Rakul Preet Singh on IndependenceRakul expressed the same opinion, noting that the basis of their relationship is not to fill each other’s voids. She added that they both were happy as people before dating each other and their partnership just enhances that happiness. She also pointed out their way of maintaining independence. As per her, they don’t depend on each other for making every plan or decision. For instance, if one of them cannot take a trip or a vacation, the other one is not bound and can proceed alone. This, she remarked, is what keeps the equilibrium in their relationship.

They were neighbors for a very long time, but they only really got to know each other during the lockdown in 2020. Their first real meeting was quite unusual; they encountered each other in protective clothing when they were borrowing something during that time. Gradually, their friendship developed, and in October 2021, on Rakul’s birthday, they publicly announced their relationship.
The couple decided to tie the knot on 21st February 2024, in Goa. Their wedding had elements of Sikh as well as Sindhi rites, portraying their respective cultural roots.
